We received this precious email from Kim.
Greetings all,
Would you believe Donkey’s BROTHER arrived today in our mailbox??? Our sweet little girl has been so excited – so much so we visited the mailbox four times today anticipating his arrival – and has since thanked me no less than a dozen times for getting her a new donkey.
While he is almost a perfect match, she noticed right away that he wasn’t HER donkey. I mentioned he was Donkey’s brother, and since he’s been just fine. I also told her we could send him back if she didn’t want him, and she said NO! She is tucked in bed with her new friend – who I might add already has a dog tag on with my cell number on it! – and is happy as a can be. So, this story has a happy ending with our never-ending thanks to Rosemary at Plush Memories Lost Toys Search Service and Sharon at www.SaveTheToys.com. I can honestly say I had no clue these sites existed, but I’m so happy they do!
I remain optimistic that the original Donkey might turn up; however, I would like to circumvent another one of these little growing experiences at all costs.
I told you I believe in Christmas miracles! Thanks for caring so much!!
Kim
This is a total shot in the dark, but I need help, please. I’m looking for an approximately six inches tall blue donkey. He was bought at Target about 4 years ago when my daughter was a baby and his friend, a cow, has “Shanghai Toy Time Enterprises LTD.” on it. It’s possible he came in a three-pack, because we received the donkey, a pig, and a cow in the same gift basket. This morning my four-year-old daughter and I were at a hospital in the Houston Medical Center visiting a friend there, and we lost this small stuffed blue donkey, my daughter’s favorite friend.
Once we noticed him MIA, we spent at least an hour looking for him, but to no avail. The staff throughout the hospital was extraordinary in helping us look for him – and in fact even reassured us that they “always” find these lost friends – they even took my number for when, not if, they found him. I hope they’re right because I have a very sad little girl and am already DREADING bedtime this evening.
I’m so very grateful for any help you can offer.
Kim
