Searching – 80′s PINK & WHITE Terry RABBIT with UPRIGHT EARS – RATTLE in HEAD

80's Pink & White Terry Rabbit with Upright EarsI’m searching for a terry cloth bunny that was pastel pink with white head, with rattles in the head, perky ears, and a little fluffy tail. It had blue stitched eyes, and a pink stitched nose. It was bought in 86/87 I’d assume, and was about 6 inches tall without the ears, and probably 8 inches with them. It was seated, stuffed enough to not be floppy, but still nice and squishy. The ears weren’t stiff, and easily stood straight, but would lay flat if you pushed back or forward.

I am a very poor artist lol. I did a front, side, and bottom (tried top, but couldn’t get it right!) to try and show just how fat she was, and the angle of her arms and legs (the bottom view) since I had a hard time with that. I think her ears may have been a bit longer, and all of the pink was pastel instead of bright (I only had the one pink marker). The whole bottom of her feet were white, and her arms were just pink.

My grandmother bought me three of them before I was born. It was the only toy I was truly attached to for most of my life. When one got too loved to stay together, it’d be retired to the toy net and another would come out. They protected me from nightmares, and were always there to listen.

When I was 19, an ex took all of the things I loved, and set them on fire. My bunny was the last to go on, and the hardest to bear. Since then I’ve been trying to find another bunny like them, with no luck. I’ve almost given up. I still want to cry when I think about not being able to cuddle my baby bunny.

All photos from before she was burned were burned along with her.

I don’t know any brands, whenever the tags were still intact, I was still in diapers lol.

The bunny in the ebay listing isn’t the right one, sadly. The face looks pretty close, but the ears are too short, the fabrics are different, and my bunny was seated.

I’m so very grateful for everyone’s help with this. This bunny means so much to me!

Yes and no, Tami. The ears look to be about the same, and the face is VERY similar, but there was no stitching on my bunny’s face, and her eyes weren’t depressed. I *think* hers was on the sides of her head. If you were to do a mashup of the two ebay bunnies’ heads, it’d be an almost perfect match. In fact, I think I’ll hop on GIMP and try to put the two together as best as I can so you can see about what her face/head/ears looked like

Well… that didn’t work at all! Basically, just take the eyes/nose from the first ebay bunny, erase the seams on the second, and paste the face on, and that’s an almost perfect representation of my bunny’s face/head. Minus the color differences in the face, of course.
