Searching – 80’s PRECIOUS? PINK FURRY 12 inch SLEEPING DOLL – RED HEART on Tush
Please help. I need to find this “Precious” babydoll for my daughter. This was a doll I had as a child, and I have seen since in a friend’s home, but am now unable to find anywhere.
It is a pink plush infant doll about 12 inches long. It is fuzzy all over, like a plush teddy bear would be. She was pink, not flesh colored and had yellow fuzzy plush hair that stuck up. Her eyes were closed and she had light brown fuzzy eyelashes. The most notable feature was a red heart embroidered on her bottom, I believe the right buttock. All of these dolls had the same red heart on their bottoms. This was not a Precious Moments doll. I believe the doll had “Precious” in the title/name or something, because that is what my Mom said it was called.
I lost her in an apartment fire, so I don’t have a picture of her. She was purchased in the early 80s, but I have since seen a version of her as late as 2001. There are at least two different sizes.
Please help!!! I would love to purchase a new Precious for my daughter’s first birthday.
Thank you,
Laura

sounds a lot like Hugga Bunch Doll. They were fuzzy, with bright hair. Some have eyes open, some sleeping. One doll called Precious Hugs was a Hugga Bunch. Don't think they had red heart on them.
Thank you so much, but unfortunately, that is not the right baby. I don't think I'll ever find it 🙁 but I appreciate your help.
I spent lots of time looking, this sounds so familiar to me! Could it be they are "Hobnobbins"? I found they are plush like you are talking about and colored, not peach. I could not find anything talking about a heart on the bum, but maybe if you take a look, you might know. I did the best I could, but if this isn't it, I may come across these babies!

Thanks for your help, Cari!! I don't think that's it, but I will forward your suggestion. I did save a couple of photos of the Hobnobbins, though, for future reference.
Merry Christmas!!
I'll keep looking. I, too, thought at first this doll sounded like a Huggabunch, but the sleepy eyes throw me off. If they were seen again in about 2001, these dolls must have been somewhat popular. Its fun helping and looking at all the toys, what a blast from the past! I'll look more, but I think I'm stuck.

Care bear and My Child dolls both had heart on their bottoms from the 80’s. Would think the my child would be a better chance.
