  1. HA!! LOL!! I’m not going to disagree with you, Jonathan, based on these pictures, but I promise you, I loved them dearly. They looked and felt SO REAL!

    These were some of the first vinyl dolls with realistic feeling skin, not hard like regular plastic, composition, or bisque head dolls that were common before this time.

  2. Gee I should take a look at my nan’s doll collection. She’s been collecting them since she was a young girl and she’s got dolls that are 50 years and older.

    I’ll have a look to see if she has any of these ‘ugly dolls’ in your post.

  5. Gee I had one I believe was the 1949 orginal.
    I loved it so but some of my kid friends stole
    the head off of it. Now it just not the same. I wish I could find another one!!! I’m so sad
