Searching – RUSS Mooshie? BLACK & WHITE Seated COW with SQUEAKER?
I have been looking for a Russ Mooshie black and white cow (around 1989-90 maybe) since 1990. This black and white cow sat upright and I think had a squeaker in its belly (was in the baby line of toys).
My son had it stolen from the car at a park, and I spent his whole childhood trying to replace it with replicas … but never got the right one.
I don’t think I have a single photo, but I will dig around (it is hard to believe that since they were inseparable that I don’t have even one photo SOMEWHERE!) I think the cow’s name was “Mooshie” on the tag.
I have tried a lot of internet searches, but have not come up with anything. Years ago I talked to the company, and they remembered the cow, but it was no longer being made and they could not help me. I wish I had thought to get more info from them (like the stock numbers or something).
Who knew then that I wo uld STILL be thinking about this 18 years later, though? Now he’s 21 and on the verge of being disillusioned with mankind. It would be such a great thrill for me to FINALLY find the real Mooshie! (He is 21, do you think I am hanging on to this?) 😉
Thanks for taking me seriously! I will look for some photos this weekend (don’t think I can get to it till then…)
Take care!
Jill

Maybe it mooed instead of squeaked? Here is a vintage russ. Might have them check it. Ebay Item number: 250271636069
Ebay Item number: 330257490233, here is one called moosley. could that be it?
Thanks, but the one they want is definitely SEATED, so these can’t be it.
I just wanted to thank you for this site and for the comments here! Every now and then I Google to see if I can find “Mooshie” and it was comforting when this popped up. I think what you do is wonderful! I have not been successful because at the time he was lost there was no site like this available to me but I suspect it is a WONDERFUL gift for many a mother of distraught little ones among others. Keep up the great work! I will keep my eye open for Mooshie – would love to have a happy ending story to this low level mother’s obsession of mine! ha! Good luck!
