DISCONTINUED – 80’s Knickerbocker CASEY JONES DOG Wearing RED & WHITE
Tobias is looking for the GIRL version of this dog, dressed in RED and WHITE.
Hello! When I was three years old (1983) I met my best friend in life, Stascha. He was a gift to me, and from that day on he followed me everywhere, all over the world. When I became older, I didn’t take him to holidays or trips anymore, but he was still sleeping in my bed, and he still does.I am married now, and my wife knows that this Casey Jones (origianal name) Knickerbocker Plush Dog is my absolute most important item I own. I always say, that if the house is burning, let anything burn down, but not Stascha. (We don’t have any children yet, otherwise I would change the priorities of course ;o)
Due to the fact that he has the same age than I do, I wish he had a wife, too.
I think that I remember a situation in a toystore, where I saw a red version of that dog, but my mom didn’t want to buy it. This might be twenty years ago or even more. I think this would be a possible partner to my dog, but I can’t find it, and I never found any hint that a red dog exists. The fur was the same color, but the hat and the suit were red and white.
I already found a female bear from Knickerbocker on eBay with the same eyes and some other hints that it was made from the same designers. But it is a bear, not a dog.
So, if you have ever seen a red version, please let me know. This would give me enough power to keep on searching.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Tobias

Oh my goodness! I can't believe I found another railroad dog online! I have this railroad dog and he has been my most prized possession since I was very small (I am now 35).
I never knew what his real name was and I have not seen one like him since I was quite young.
I have a 3 year old daughter now and despite the fact that my railroad dog is very worn and has been stitched many times (we had a puppy who liked to chew him when I was a kid) she loves my railroad dog too. For her 3rd birthday she got some money and has told me that she wants to buy a railroad dog so I have been searching the internet for one and was almost about to give up until I stumbled on this site!
Thank you! I now know what his full name is and I am better equipped to continue my search.
Wow to think another person had a railroad dog and loved him as much as I love mine!

Oh and to be clear I have the same version of this dog as you do and I have not seen a red version. But I hope you find her!
Best of luck.
