As luck would have it, I found a ‘buy it now’ pink baby. Luck is really the correct word because we have spend countless hours on eBay looking for her.

My daughter was given a baby doll when she was born. I washed it and sewed it many times. We even had to put band aids on Pink Baby where she had ‘surgery’ when I sewed her. She is pink thermal, has an embroidered sleeping face, and blond hair. She wears a nightcap, and a bib. My daughter would loop her hand through the bib and wear Pink Baby as a bracelet. She got this in Oct 1999, but I’m not sure from where, since it was a gift.
My daughter slept with her for 8 years. She loved that doll so much. My mind kept telling me to put her away with the other sentimental things so that we would always have Pink Baby, but my daughter could not bear the thought of Pink Baby being put in a box.
A year ago, when we moved from Arkansas to Florida, Pink Baby and my daughter spent our last night with her friend and neighbor. We set her sack of clothes (which had Pink Baby in it) in the garage of our old home while we retrieved our pets from our house before heading out for Fl. Her sack was mistakenly left in the garage. I contacted our Realtor, she checked the garage, but no sack.
As luck would have it, or so we thought, the cleaning lady came earlier that day. She said she did not see a sack, yet we found out that this same cleaning lady had stolen from other homes. We still have not found Pink Baby.
It is still very traumatic for her. It breaks my heart.
