Natanya is still looking for this AFRICAN AMERICAN GIRL doll.
To Whom It May Concern: I am praying this site is legit. I conceived twins 4 1/2 years ago, a boy and a girl. My husband bought two Petting Zoo 9″ rattle dolls from the hospital gift shop. They were African American dolls that sat upright. They had “Its a Boy” and “Its a Girl” on their shirts. Both wore hats and little booties. They had a button nose and an outie belly button. They wore a white hat and had a rattle in their stomach. My son, one of the twins, did not survive, but my daughter kept the dolls. Two years ago, my daughter lost one of them. Six months later, she lost the other. She has been asking for these dolls for 2 years. I can’t find them. She prays for them every night. I think it gives her a sense that her twin is still near.
Petting Zoo evidently only carries them in a Caucasian version now, which wouldn’t matter to me, but she remembers them vividly. I actually ordered the Caucasian dolls, but it’s not the same for her.
Can you help?
Thanks,
Natanya
