The doll I am looking for is a pink soft bodied doll that winds up to play music. She has a plastic or vinyl face. It was the very first doll my parents ever purchased for me. I was born in 1961, so she is from around that time. My parents didn’t have much money at that time, so I know she was mass produced.
As an adult I began collecting dolls, and this one has always eluded me. When I was 19, she was in a trunk that was stolen from me by my roommate. The records and things were nowhere near as important to me as this doll. I remember being down with mumps, and she was my favorite toy and the only one that could console me when things were bad. I miss her and I want her back.
