I’m looking for a 1980’s yellow or pink terry cloth Baby Soft Touch Doll made by AMTOY. It was about 7 or 8 inches high and made of terry cloth with a stitched on face and ruffled bonnet. She has yellow yarn hair peeking from her bonnet.

We had both colors in our house growing up. I had the yellow Baby Soft Touch, and my sister had the pink one. Over the years I took them both in as my own. I drug those poor babies everywhere with me. We spent long days outside; then Momma would have to wash them before bedtime. The dog got hold of my lovie more than once, and Granny always patched her back up with old cotton T shirts. My poor baby went to Granny’s house for a repair one time and just never came home…I suppose she was beyond repair. As for my sister’s baby doll, she was lost over the years as my sister moved from place to place.

My daughter has epilepsy and endures many hospital stays and treatments. She had a newer model of terry cloth baby doll that recently succumbed to the washing machine. I have always had the dream that my old baby doll could bring her the comfort that she once brought me.
