Thanks to all of your help, we have a new member added to our family……he arrived today.
My son is getting to that age where he doesn’t want to show too much emotion, but I knew he loved it, because he was trying really hard not to smile real big. In fact, he came and thanked me for it after he took him to his room for a little while.
Thank you again for making a little boy happy.
Gail…..a very happy mom
My son went to Denver with his Aunt, Uncle and cousins this summer and some how lost his favorite stuffed animal……”puppy”………that’s what he calls it.
He is basically off white and brown with dark brown around his eyes and on the ears…and tip of his tail is white. He got the missing puppy for Easter, 2001.
Being a good mom, I bought an extra one…..just like you have suggested to others. I kept it hidden for a long while, but gave it to him one day and told him that we would keep it on the shelf so it would stay nice………..not like “puppy” who was well loved. Well, that didn’t last for long, as soon he was sleeping with both puppies. In fact, the new one was soon looking as well loved as the 1st one.
Anyway, back to the lost puppy. Since it was his first trip so far away without any of us with him, I told him it was ok to take his puppy, the oldest and most loved one Yep……………..mistake! Nobody knows where or how it got lost.
I do know it’s an older TY Beanie Buddy. It has 2000 on the tag. I have searched and searched the internet and cannot find him. My son (and I) would be sooooo grateful to have another puppy to love. We know it will not replace the one that was lost, but it sure will help with the loss of “a loved one”.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Gail
